Beginning with the 1993 vintage, Marilyn Cabernet wines have been produced each year in very small quantities of individually numbered bottles. These vintages also comprise a vertical collection. A second five-year vertical collection is now underway, beginning with the 1998 vintage of Marilyn Cabernet.
The Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot grapes grown in the Napa Valley in 1997 were unlike any other vintage in the 1990's. Nearly perfect growing conditions allowed winemakers to produce some of the most compelling wines of the decade. Such is the case with the 1997 Marilyn Cabernet.
