Why
collect wines as an
investment? Every once
in a while a
"following"
develops for an item
that is in limited
supply. Whether it be
coins, stamps, hot
wheels or old posters,
the value increases as
the
"following"
increases. Each vintage
has a known, limited
quantity of wines
produced adding to its
value. The
"older"
it gets, the more
valuable it gets and
unlike traditional
collectibles, most good
wines
"improve with age".
Marilyn Wines are now in
that category.

Beginning with the 1993 vintage, Marilyn Cabernet wines have been produced each year in very small quantities of individually numbered bottles. The first five vintages of Marilyn Cabernet - 1993 through 1997 - feature labels designed by Susann Ortega of Ortega Design Studio as variations of a single photograph of Marilyn Monroe. These vintages also comprise a vertical collection. A second five-year vertical collection is now underway, beginning with the 1998 vintage of Marilyn Cabernet. Whether purchased as individual vintages or in a vertical collection, the Marilyn Cabernet wines offer inimitable style and exceptional opportunity for the collector.

Testimonials:
Two years of bottle
aging have given this
wine a rich garnet
color. An extra year of
aging in French oak
contributed complexity,
well-integrated aromas
of mature black fruits,
and subtle oak to the
wine. This wine is
full-bodied, balanced,
and nicely framed by
mature tannins. It will
continue to develop for
another 5 to 7 years. |
